William Murdoch Primary School were the winners of Promote Your School’s Inspiring Libraries competition in 2025! The prize included bespoke Wall Art, books and furniture for their school library. And, here, we’re delighted to share the end result.

There are some books that every child simply must read. Whether those are set books on the curriculum or classic stories, certain books can change a child’s entire perspective. This shows the immense power of reading and the lifechanging effect it can have.

The Timeline tracks the course of history from earliest recorded times to the present day. We highlighted key dates, events, people and places using images and bold text. Each era is separated using clever colouring. So pupils get a sense of context and relativity as to what happened and when.

Respect, resilience and responsibility are the school values. And these are at the heart of all they do. With all this in mind, we designed this inspiring positive thinking wall. It combines the wellbeing benefits of nature with active language to motivate pupils (and teachers).
