We designed Wall Art for Ryedene Primary and Nursery School.
Ryedene Primary has a lovely motto – ‘Growing to succeed’. And their learning environment is safe, calm and vibrant – all the hallmarks of a nurturing school.
We took on a particularly artistic challenge for the school’s stairwells. They were keen to create a visual art gallery that would totally transform the space. Stairwells are often regarded as problem areas in schools. They require a lot of maintenance and can look dull or shabby over time. So we were delighted to give the stairwells at Ryedene Primary a new lease of life with this striking art gallery design.
Not just walls
It wasn’t just the walls that received a makeover! We also featured a famous artwork from Michaelangelo – ‘The Creation of Man’ – on the elevator doors. This ensures continuity of the design. And the surface adds interest and colour to the area.
We celebrate famous artists through their work and also through quotes. These quotes are sure to inspire and motivate pupils, not just artistically, but in all their academic endeavours.
The art gallery serves as a powerful learning aid to complement the art curriculum. Pupils will learn about and remember the names of paintings and artists for easy recall at exam time.

It was such a joy to bring this design to life for the school. Initially, we visited the school to discuss their goals and understand their vision. They explained the idea of using stairwells to create a visual art gallery. And we loved it!
Our talented design team then took the brief and turned the vision into artwork. We presented the artwork back to the school and encouraged feedback and any changes they needed. Once the school was 100% happy, they approved the final designs. We then printed and installed the Wall Art in the stairwells.
