Wellbeing

Wellbeing remains a top priority for schools in the UK and beyond. And this is no doubt why we’re seeing unprecedented demand for Wellbeing Wall Displays.

There are many ways to improve mental, physical and emotional health through visual prompts. For example, some schools opt for positive thinking walls. These include motivational quotes and uplifting statements to encourage pupils to take action.

Positive thinking walls can also show fresh perspectives and positive mindsets. They can even include small steps that pupils can take to feel better. Challenge walls are growing in popularity too. They encourage pupils to challenge themselves to mental and physical tasks. And the goal here is to build resilience and create a sense of achievement, which in turn boosts positivity.

Schools continue to prioritise physical wellbeing. To appeal to this, we can create designs that reinforce why it’s important to look after our bodies. For example; how and why to eat healthy food, take regular exercise and practise mindfulness.

Canteens are a popular location for healthy habits designs. Here, pupils can consider their choices and discuss health and vitality with their peers over lunchtime breaks. And this shared dialogue builds a sense of community and belonging, which is also crucial for wellbeing.

Wellbeing Wall Art inspires pupils and teachers to take actionable steps to feel better. Because it’s a large format design, pupils can engage with the content as and when they like, and in the way that suits them best.

We create all designs bespoke to each school’s requirements. Some schools are 100% clear on their vision and what they want in their designs. While other schools may have set a goal but be unsure of how Wall Art can help them achieve it. Either approach is fine! It’s our job to guide you through the design process, choose a location and decide what you’d like to include.

Some schools are keen to support pupils with exam preparation and revision. In this case, we can create positive designs that impart the information, without overwhelming pupils. Colour and imagery are very important here. Certain colour palettes are ideal for creating a sense of calm to complement the messages.

We often include the message, ‘Change your mindset’ in our positive thinking walls. This shows pupils that their mental health is malleable. And it demonstrates that they have the power to improve it. This can create a sense of ownership in pupils and motivate them to take action.

Positive statements are also a popular choice for Wall Art designs. For example, “I can do it”, “I am talented” or “I am brave”. These statements are visual prompts for pupils. And they will encourage them to build self belief through repetition of reaffirming statements.
