Consultation

Yes! We are a nationwide company. We have offices in the UK and Middle East but we create bespoke Wall Art for nurseries, schools, colleges and universities all over the world.

We can design and install artwork on almost any surface inside and outside your school.  This includes internal and external walls, windows, doors, ceilings, floors, sound panels, table tops, steps and more. We’ll determine the best materials to suit the surface that we are covering. All of the materials that we use are high-quality, durable, premium, industrial materials fit for purpose in schools, nurseries, universities and colleges.

At a site visit we will discuss what you are hoping to achieve, look at areas you have in mind or walk around your school with you to identify suitable areas if you are not sure. We will assess the surfaces to determine the best material and take measurements and photos in order to give you a no-obligation quote. Please contact us to book a site visit.

An initial site visit is free of charge and enables us to get information, photos and measurements in order to give you a specific cost for your quote. This is a free service so that we can generate a no-obligation quote. We hope you will then place an order of course but there is no commitment for you to make a purchase. Please contact us to book a site visit.

If we are unable to visit your school, we can offer a remote consultation via telephone or video chat. In this session, we’ll ask about your objectives and discuss the space you have in mind for your bespoke Wall Art. You’ll need to provide photos and, if you have them, some dimensions. From there, we’ll create a quote based on your requirements, specifications and budget. Please contact us to arrange a consultation.

Quote

We offer a bespoke pricing system and quote on each project. When we visit your school for your free consultation, we’ll measure up the space and determine the scope of work involved. Then, we’ll put together a bespoke quote for your project and send this to you via email. Please contact us to book a site visit so we can quote for you.

We can offer you a free, no obligation visit to discuss your goals and the areas you have in mind. We’ll walk around your school to help you identify suitable areas if you are not sure.  We’ll assess the surfaces to determine the best material and take measurements and photos in order to give you a no-obligation quote. Please contact us to book a site visit.

Yes. We can quote off-plan to help you incorporate the costs into your building work estimate. We will work with you to decide the right time to do a site survey before installation.

Orders

With 20 years’ experience in education design, we are market leading experts in our field. Schools, colleges and universities trust us to deliver an exceptional standard of design, high quality materials and a fully consultative approach.

Our experience allows us to provide suggestions and guidance on the best approach for your school and needs. We offer a bespoke design service so we ensure that every client receives a design based on their specifications, objectives and budget. With thousands of projects under our belt, we’re confident we can deliver an end product that will exceed your expectations and delight anyone who sees it.

You will need to get a quote first. This can be done by contacting us to book a free site visit or by submitting photos in order to get a no-obligation quote.

Once you have decided on your final specification, including dimensions, you can speak with your Promote Your School representative and they will guide you through the process of placing an order.

Once you have submitted your order, your project will be booked into our design studio and we will arrange a site survey by an installer for you. Your project manager from Promote Your School will take you through all the stages of the process so you know exactly what to expect. You can read more about the process here or feel free to contact us to find out more.

Payment for your Wall Art will be split into two invoices as follows:

50% once an order is placed – this covers the bespoke design phase including unlimited revisions.

50% once installed – this covers production, print and installation of your Wall Art.

Design Phase

Once your order has been placed, your project manager will finalise the brief with you if they haven’t already. For the brief we will find out from you your specific content and style requirements so we can ensure the designs we create fit your needs. Once the brief for all areas is finalised, your project will then be booked into the schedule with a designer.

We provide a bespoke design service. Each area is designed your specific brief, the available space and the dimensions of the area.

We do not start working on designs before an order is placed because each area needs the appropriate time invested in it to achieve what you are looking for. Bespoke design needs to go through a process of discussion and revisions to get to the final point. We create options at first draft and provide the promise of unlimited amends according to your original brief, so you can have the confidence that the final installation will be in line with your expectations.

We have extensive case studies of schools we have worked with, which we’re very happy to share. These show the quality of the work we do, the type of designs we can create for you and the extent of our experience working with schools to create bespoke designs for schools.

Your Promote Your School project manager will help you finalise the brief. Rest assured, it doesn’t need to be lengthy or elaborate! There are three main things that we’ll need from your brief:

  • Challenge: What is the challenge you wish to overcome through Wall Art? Why do you want it in each area that you have chosen? What are you trying to achieve or communicate?  Our designers are creative problem solvers. They want to know what you are trying to achieve and will use their experience of transforming learning environments to come up with the solution.
  • Style: We will need some idea of what style you like. Everyone has different tastes and requirements and ultimately you know your school and your students the best. Try to think about the examples you’ve seen that inspired you to contact us. What case studies did you see/do you like? This will give us a really good idea of the sort of style you favour.
  • Content: We will need to know the specific worded content you would like to feature within your Wall Art. We can support and guide you with our experience but ultimately you know what is most relevant for your school and students.

It is also really helpful to know what is really important to include versus what can be left out if need be – we call these the ‘non-negotiables’. Our designers work best with the freedom to be creative so therefore they need to know what is vital.

We do not need you to supply images, unless you have specific photos that you require us to use. We have access to thousands of high quality images and assets so we will do the image sourcing for you. We most often cannot use what you would find in a search engine search due to copyright and quality of image.

We can use specific high quality images that you supply if you would like us to, as long as you have the copyright to use them.

You’ll benefit from unlimited amends according to your original brief*, so you’ll have confidence that the design that is installed is the one that you expect.  Once you have approved the final designs they cannot be changed without the potential of additional costs.

*Amends are classed as minor changes to the design and/or text according to the original brief that you give us. Significant changes in brief from the original brief will incur additional costs. We kindly ask that you think carefully about your brief before submitting it for designers to work on.

You will be asked to approve your final design before it goes to print. By approving a design, you are confirming that the style, spelling, content, and layout are all correct, as you want the to be. You are also confirming that the designs have been created for the correct location.

Your design will then be printed exactly as shown in the PDF proof.

If you are not sure about any elements, please raise this before you approve your designs to be printed. Once a design is approved, it cannot be changed without the potential of additional costs.

We do not use illustrations from books and films due to copyright unless the school has been given the rights to use the images. As members of a creative community, using others’ work without their permission goes against our beliefs and values.

When we create scenes to represent well-loved texts, we imply the content and themes of those texts through our creations and leave the rest to the students’ imaginations. We fully credit all authors.

Preparation

Wall Art is a finishing product. The better prepared your surfaces are before we arrive, the happier you will be with the finish. Any preparation that is needed is usually discussed at the site survey with the installer. It is often helpful to have one of your site team staff available for the site survey so they are aware of any specific preparation work required. If you are not sure what you need to do, your project manager will be able to advise.

Please ensure that everything on the walls (noticeboards, fire signs, student displays etc.) are removed from the walls, and the areas are cleaned and cleared ready for the artwork to be installed before the installers arrive.

If there are any holes in the walls, caused by items having been removed, we would request that these holes are repaired (filled and sanded smooth) and the repaired areas primed / painted in advance with a water-based product.

If you are painting any areas around the artwork, we would advise that this is done before installation to avoid getting paint on your new Wall Art.

If the walls are not ready for the installation on the day of installation and a return visit is subsequently needed, there may be an extra cost for this.

Most schools prepare the areas themselves using their site team’s skill and any regular contractors. However, we can do preparation work if necessary. Just let us know and we will include that in our costs.

Installation

Make sure the areas are fully prepared before the installers arrive. If the walls are not prepared on the day of installation and a return visit is subsequently needed, there may be an extra cost for this.

Let us know of any restrictions on access, timings or anything else well beforehand so we can plan that into the day.

Please let your project manager know the name and contact number for the person who will be on site on the day of installation in case this is needed.

We kindly request that someone who has been involved in the project is there at the end of the installation to sign it off as per the specification agreed. If you cannot be present on the day, please ensure that the contact who is on site is fully briefed and has the authority to sign off the Wall Art.

Aftercare

All of the materials that we use are high-quality, durable, premium, industrial materials fit for purpose in schools, nurseries, universities and colleges. Our products are designed to last many years and this is a long-term investment, not something you’d wish to replace each year.

We guarantee that the material will correspond to your specification and be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of six months. We do not guarantee against wear and tear or wilful damage. The materials that we use are all high quality, durable materials which are fit for purpose and ones that we use in many schools nationwide year on year.

Yes, for any marks, you can simply clean these using warm soapy water. We can provide guidance on how to care for your Wall Art based on its location and the materials that have been used.

We can replace small parts or larger sections. We are usually able to cover small areas free of charge or at cost.

All of the materials that we use have fire ratings. We can provide the specification sheets on request.
