Silverstone UTC Destinations and Careers Wall Art
We designed branded Wall Art for Silverstone UTC in Northamptonshire.
Silverstone UTC (University Technical College) offers a unique and relevant approach to education. They provide sought-after technical qualifications and benefit from industry standard equipment and specialist staff to provide students with the skills valued by employers.
We created bespoke Wall Art to transform an area of the college. The design features destinations and careers that students can consider beyond their education at the college. We created a large visual map to plot potential destinations that are possible through the college’s curriculum. And we showcased a range of potential careers students could embark on, across multiple disciplines.
The branded design uses the college’s red and blue colour palette. As well as the walls, we also created a ‘Pit Lane’ inspired artwork for the doors. This creates a cohesive and professional look for the space. And it’s sure to inspire the next generation of STEM-skilled students.
Silverstone UTC
There’s a sense of aspiration and hope among students at Silverstone UTC. And, it’s no wonder. Because the college’s mission is, “To educate, nurture and inspire young people to become high-performing, work-ready individuals capable of maximising their potential both now and in the future”.
This approach encourages students to apply themselves in their studies today, with a view of securing their dream career in the future. We loved playing a part in this spirit of aspiration by creating bespoke Wall Art that reflects the college’s mission and values. We featured a diverse range of people within the images we used. So students can see people they relate to and connect with the content on their college walls.
Location, location, location
The college chose the perfect location for their Wall Art project. Near the welcome desk, in a large communal atrium type space, the Wall Art has pride of place.
Our designers were meticulous in sizing the artwork so it would perfectly fit the wall. Then, our installers double checked the measurements prior to installation day to ensure everything would look just right.
The end result is a vibrant and eye catching panorama that transforms the space.
Our process
As standard, we created the Wall Art designs bespoke and in-house. We worked closely with Silverstone UTC to ensure we fully understood their requirements and expected outcomes.
Then we created the artwork and presented back for feedback. Once the Silverstone team was happy, they approved the Wall Art designs and we sent these to print. Finally, we installed the Wall Art and followed up with the college afterwards to ensure they were happy with the outcome.
Wow factor
We’re delighted with the final project and it was a pleasure working with the wonderful team at Silverstone UTC. Their brief was clear and they had a vision, which we gladly brought to life through our bespoke design process.
Branding the design adds extra wow factor – and the Wall Art now serves as a visual backdrop to welcome visitors, prospective families and, of course, existing students.
