City and Islington College Stairwell Wall Art
We designed a maths and space Wall Art project for City and Islington College.
City and Islington College offers A Levels and a range of vocational courses for young people. The college aims to equip people with outstanding skills that will help them to succeed.
Students will feel inspired as they walk up and down the stairs of their college. A large astronaut hovers in space with earth far below them.
Alongside this space mural, we also included a handy ‘Powers of 10’ learning aid. This will help students absorb these numbers without even realising they’re learning! The space backdrop creates a sense of awe and wonder to get students in the right mindset for learning.
Powers of 10
We used rich images to bring the ‘Powers of 10’ wall to life. And, the mix of colours works well against the dark space themed backdrop.
The stairwell offered lots of blank wall space for us to use. This served as a canvas for us to use as we created bespoke designs that would perfectly fit the space. So the end result is a visual spectacle that will delight students, teachers and anyone else who sees it!
Wall Art is ideal for igniting imaginations. And this space themed design is perfect for helping students escape the ordinary everyday and enter a new world of endless possibilities.

With this design, students will be inspired to consider where their qualifications might take them beyond college. It’s a real nod to each student’s limitless potential. And a reminder that the lessons they undertake today can take them to new heights in the future.
Also, who doesn’t love looking at pictures of space!? The designs offer fresh perspective of the world and allow students to feel connected to the bright twinkling lights of civilisation below the astronaut featured in the design.
