This year’s theme is “If walls could speak”. And, as a creative design agency that specialises in Wall Art, this theme is closely aligned to our core offering. The Competition invites students from across the global network to unleash their creativity and share unique perspectives.
COBIS is encouraging schools worldwide to take part in what promises to be another inspiring celebration of artistic talent.
What stories would walls tell if they could talk?
From ancient buildings and family homes to classrooms, streets, and cityscapes, this year’s theme — “If Walls Could Speak” — invites students to explore the hidden voices, memories, and histories embedded in the spaces around us.
Students might imagine:
This is an opportunity to bring spaces to life through imagination, empathy, and storytelling.
The competition is open to all COBIS schools, including Applicant schools.
Schools can begin planning how they will engage students in this year’s theme. They can also consider running internal selection processes ahead of submission on 23 October 2026.
This is a wonderful opportunity to ignite creativity across your school community and express the many stories the walls of your school could tell.
The COBIS Art Competition offers students the chance to:
Winning and shortlisted artworks will be shared across COBIS platforms and may be featured at the COBIS Annual Conference.
Submissions will be accepted from 5 October 2026 until midday (BST, UK time) on 23 October 2026.

At Promote Your School we see walls as a powerful learning opportunity. Our bespoke Wall Art transforms corridor walls, stairwells, communal areas and even outdoor spaces.
We love the theme of this year’s COBIS Art Competition – “If walls could speak”. It embodies the magic that lives within school buildings – and the many stories and experiences students share each day.
Positive visual environments can bring learning to life through engagement, curiosity and inspiration. If walls could speak, then those we’ve transformed with Wall Art would have many stories to tell! From immersive rainforest designs, cultural walls and values displays to sports features, welcome walls and colourful canteens. Wall Art is a natural conversation starter and a compelling storyteller.
So, we are delighted to sponsor the COBIS Arts Competition and encourage creativity and self expression. Students can create art to represent their homes, schools, cities and communities.
At Promote Your School, we work with all school types around the world. From the UK to the Middle East and beyond, our bespoke Wall Art meets the needs of schools today.
