We designed library Wall Art for Whitfield Aspen School.
Whitfield Aspen School has served Kent’s communities for over 50 years. Everyone at the school aims to learn together with ‘aspiration, imagination and determination’. And these values are certainly reflected in the Alice in Wonderland themed Wall Art we designed for the school library.
We used a dark backdrop to create an illusion of a mystical and enchanted forest. Characters and objects adorn the walls, to spark curiosity and ignite imaginations. While whimsical quotes are sure to build conversation and contemplation between classmates. Bright soft furnishings and higgledy-piggledy book shelves add to the fun and create a library that pupils will want to visit!
It was a joy to bring this project to life. We took inspiration from Lewis Carrol’s famous novel, Alice in Wonderland. This allowed us to have fun with the design, adding curious elements that will delight and dazzle pupils at the school. The ultimate goal is to create a magical space for reading, so pupils will be drawn to the selection of books on offer and enjoy reading for pleasure.
We know that children who read for pleasure are happier and healthier too. So this enchanting school library has many benefits beyond simply looking amazing!
