We featured must read books on the walls of Ryedene Primary School.

There are some books that every child simply must read. Whether those are setbooks on the curriculum or classic stories, certain books can change a child’s entire perspective. This shows the immense power of reading and the lifechanging effect it can have.

So, we were delighted to design a must read books wall for Ryedene Primary School in Essex. The designs form an immersive visual library, which pupils can walk alongside. Pupils will see the book titles, authors, pictures and relevant people represented on the walls. And they’re sure to be inspired to pick up these books in real life to find out more. In this way, the designs spark curiosity and a genuine interest in reading.

Why is this important? Because children who read for pleasure are happier, healthier and achieve better learning outcomes. So, library designs like this can help fuel literacy, which will support children throughout their lives.

Must read books

We featured a diverse range of books in this must read books design. It’s always important that we incorporate diversity into our designs for schools. So every child can see people and objects they can relate to, regardless of ethnicity, background or ability.

With this in mind, we worked closely with the team at Ryedene Primary to include a wide range of authors and book titles. We also aligned the featured stories to the school’s curriculum. So the artwork supports learning and gets pupils in the right mindset for reading.

Images bring the design together – both those on the book spines themselves, and the objects and people featured in the background. Literacy designs are extremely popular with schools who request Wall Art. And, as we design everything bespoke, we can tailor each design to the school’s unique preferences. Some schools opt to brand their designs with their colours, logo and motto. Whilst others may choose a nature background to create a calm space for reading.

Our process

We create all designs bespoke and in-house at our studio in London. Our service is fully consultative and we design, print and install the Wall Art as part of the process.

We’re proud to offer outstanding service and products that keep schools coming back to us time and again. Our Case Studies show the breadth and diversity of our work. We can design almost anything for almost any surface. Popular areas for Wall Art include corridors, stairwells, communal areas and outdoors. We can also design for floors, ceilings, windows, doors, table tops and cupboards.

To begin, we offer a free and no obligation consultation. This can take place in-person at your school. During the visit, we’ll discuss your goals and suggest how to maximise your available space and budget. We offer a very transparent pricing system based on the scope of work you require. There are no hidden extras at any stage of the process.
