The chance to win Literacy Wall Art is a great incentive for schools to participate in The Summer Reading Challenge.

Last year, St Thomas CE Primary School in Warrington won the Summer Reading Challenge Wall Art prize.
The Primary School, in Stockton Heath, had the highest percentage of pupils in the area who took part in the Summer Reading Challenge last summer. A whopping 59% of pupils at the school read as many books as possible over the summer holidays. Pupils could visit their local library or log their reading records online to earn badges and rewards.
Once Warrington Libraries had selected the school as their winner, they passed the details on to Lisa Savage, Director at Promote Your School. Lisa managed the completion of their prize; a bespoke literacy Wall Art project to encourage reading for pleasure.
Thank you for organising our wonderful Wall Art project! We absolutely love it and the children enjoyed watching the installation process. Thanks for all your help in its design.
In 2026, The Reading Agency has partnered with Universal Music Group UK. Together, they’re bringing the theme, ‘Read to the Beat!’ to life. The theme is all about celebrating the joy of music and the power it has to move, inspire, and connect us. All through the magic of reading.
Award-winning author and illustrator, Harry Woodgate will create illustrations to bring this year’s Challenge to life. And Universal Music Group artists will champion the joy of reading by sharing their own stories of creative expression. Children will have the opportunity to discover diverse musical genres and cultural influences through the specially curated reading list. They’ll also enjoy engaging activities that celebrate the connection between storytelling and sound.
