We designed Solar System Wall Art for Paxton Academy.
Theresa Moses is Headteacher at Paxton Academy in Croydon. Sharing her views about the school, she says;

It’s this spirit of aspiration that underpins the school’s approach. And their visual environment plays a big part in raising aspirations and boosting morale, especially in the fields of sports and science. So, they invested in a Solar System themed design to transform a corridor in the school. This stunning design brings awe and wonder to the learning environment. And it serves as a powerful learning aid too.
Paxton Academy Sports and Science
Developing curiosity is a key aspect of the curriculum at Paxton Academy. The school has a specialist focus on sports and science, so naturally they wish to spark curiosity in these areas, alongside other aspects of their diverse curriculum.
We designed Solar themed Wall Art to fuel imaginations and encourage genuine interest in the wider world. Space is such an exciting concept for children – bursting with infinite possibilities, just as they are. So it forms an inspiring backdrop that’s sure to prompt discussion and critical thinking in pupils at the school.
Our process
We loved bringing this design to life on the school’s walls. The design draws pupils in, encouraging them to look closely and discover the many wonders that abound in space.
We included an astronaut to humanise the design and help pupils relate to the subject of Science. And the design has an immersive feel, so it transports pupils from their everyday school environment into a magical world that’s anything but ordinary.
