We designed Wall Art for The English College Dubai.

The English College Dubai is one of Dubai’s leading British Curriculum schools. Pupils at the school benefit from a well rounded education from Foundation stage to Year 13.

We designed a Science curriculum wall for the school. The goal? Inspire pupils to consider future careers enabled by positive attainment rates in Science. The design asks students where science will take them, showing a range of possibilities on offer. We also included photos of famous faces from the field of Science. This humanises the design and shows pupils that they too can achieve greatness by applying themselves in this core subject.

At The English College Dubai, the curriculum underpins everything. Pupils benefit from a broad and balanced British curriculum that will unlock opportunities for tertiary education and beyond. This design reinforces the strength of the school’s curriculum and inspires pupils to consider their future beyond school.

We used a slick colour palette for this Science based design. It is striking enough to gain interest from pupils, whilst not feeling overstimulating or ‘too much’ for the space. It was important to let the information stand out against a simple background.

We also used large images that pupils can see from afar, to draw them closer to the wall for a closer look. It was important to showcase people from all backgrounds and walks of life, across various aspects of Science. This means pupils can find aspirational role models who they can relate to, and career opportunities that appeal to them.

We also used iconography to bring the design together. In this way it appeals to visual learners and younger pupils who may not yet be able to read.
