We designed library Wall Art for St Peter’s Catholic Primary School.
St Peter’s Catholic Primary School is in Dagenham, Essex. The school’s Catholic ethos permeates everything they do. And their curriculum is rooted in a religious understanding of life, underpinned by gospel values.
We designed Wall Art to transform their school library. A magical, mystical theme brings fairytales to life on the walls. While cosy, reading nooks create the perfect spaces to get lost in a good story.
There are loads of hidden gems for pupils to find in this magical design. The closer they look, the more they’ll see. This is sure to spark curiosity and discussion among peers, which helps to build vocabulary and critical thinking. And these are two tools that will support pupils’ learning throughout school.

St Peter’s Catholic Primary School
Children who read for pleasure are happier, healthier, and they do better at school. So pupils at St Peter’s Catholic Primary School will benefit greatly from their inviting library.
We featured creatures and objects from a range of young children’s stories on the walls. The enchanted forest backdrop creates a sense of calm – perfect for helping pupils feel peaceful and relaxed as they delve into the pages of their favourite books.
The library also offers comfortable seating and plenty of secluded reading nooks. So pupils can pick a spot that suits them to read in. The library has a wide and diverse range of books for pupils to choose from. This is important as it means they can see storylines, characters and authors they can relate to – aspirational role models from all walks of life.
Because the library is so inviting, pupils will want to spend time there. And, the more they read, the more they’ll want to read, especially when they discover the joy of reading for pleasure.
We designed the library Wall Art to appeal to young readers, to fit the school’s demographic. For this reason, the images are based on fantasy and make-believe. For older readers, we’d use real world images and even align the choice of books and characters to the school’s curriculum.
