Ajman Academy Sustainable Development Goals Wall Art

The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals are a blueprint for peace and prosperity.

All 17 Sustainable Development Goals are an urgent call to action by multiple countries. They seek to end poverty, reduce inequalities and tackle climate change.

We were delighted to feature the goals in a Wall Art design for Ajman Academy. As a leading international school in the UAE, Ajman Academy seeks to prepare students to become global citizens. This design, inspired by the UN’s sustainable development goals, is a strong step towards that ambition. We also featured the school’s own values in the design. In this way, pupils can see how their values will shape them into considerate, responsible people of the world.

The designs have pride of place in the school’s light and airy canteen. This large communal space is ideal for Wall Art because it sees heavy footfall every day. Pupils can contemplate and discuss the goals and their school values together. This is bound to build unity and spark critical thinking.

Goals and values

Ajman Academy welcomes over fifty nationalities across its pupil base. So it’s important that each student has a sense of identity and belonging at the school. Using the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as a basis for Wall Art is highly effective. It inspires pupils to consider the global impact of working together, and the difference they can make collectively and individually.

We used a green backdrop so the design feels calm and serene. And each of the goals stands out clearly so pupils can read and absorb the information with ease. We also included iconography, which will appeal to visual learners. AJAC leaners are characterised by a set of values included in the designs; principled, caring, thinkers, open-minded, communicators, inquirers, knowledgeable, reflective, balanced, risk-takers.

Pupils will be inspired to uphold these values and reflect the school’s identity. It’s a powerful and inspiring message for all.
