Washwood Heath Academy in Birmingham asked us to design local area map Wall Art for their school corridor.
The area map Wall Art needed to showcase interesting facts, fun features and local landmarks that characterise the city of Birmingham.
Old and New
A key aspect of this Wall Art project is that it includes a mix of old and new. It’s important to use an area map school mural to inform and celebrate a city’s History. But it’s equally key to look ahead at how the city continues to evolve and advance into the future.
We kept this in mind when designing this school mural. As well as showcasing monuments, buildings and Historical structures, we mentioned technology and development. The idea is to inspire students to refer to lessons from History and look ahead with fresh perspectives and open-mindedness.
Benefits of Wall Art for Schools
The most obvious benefit of Wall Art is that it can transform a dull or unused school wall. Our designs are bursting with colour and rich imagery to capture the attention of anyone who sees them. So your school mural can serve as a conversation starter, a catalyst for curiosity or a visual stimulus for learning.
There are many different topics and themes schools tend to focus on for their school murals. From subjects and school values to nature and wellbeing, there’s no limit to what we can achieve on your school’s walls. And, because designs are bespoke, your school mural will be truly one-of-a-kind!
