Squirrels Heath Infant School is a happy and caring community where all pupils are valued and supported.
The school promotes a love of learning, and encourages creative thinking. They recognise the interests of pupils through high quality learning experiences, carefully tailored to meet each unique child.
We were delighted to design a piece of Map Wall Art for the school.
Learning about both local and global geography
The local area map helps children get a sense of their local area. We showcased local landmarks such as Romford Town Hall and the local train station
From a learning perspective, the map gives pupils an understanding of their orientation within the area. They can also absorb and remember key facts about the Romford and Greater London area, without even realising they’re learning!
We also pulled out key buildings and natural monuments in the global section of the Wall Art. This allows pupils to learn more about the location of these well-known landmarks.
