Drapers’ Maylands Primary School History Timeline

We designed a School History Timeline for Drapers’ Maylands Primary School in Essex.

The school were keen to transform their learning environment to encourage purposeful learning. So we designed a School History timeline to cover the entire length of the school’s stairs. It also needed to be visually rich, highly engaging and full of useful facts for pupils. Of course, we jumped to the challenge!

What is a School History timeline?

As a new build, the school’s hallways and stairwells offer clean white space that is perfect for school Wall Art! We were approached to create some bespoke Wall Art with a School History timeline theme. 

First, we divided each era of History into clearly marked sections and included famous faces, key dates and important facts about each era. We used loads of rich images to help tell the story of how History has progressed throughout the ages. Using real-world imagery brings the school’s walls to life and makes Historical events seem really relatable.

Bespoke design, durable materials

This School History timeline is one of our favourite case study projects! It invokes natural curiosity in the events of the past and acts as a learning aid for students as they walk up and down the stairs throughout each school day. The concept of chronology is also brought to the fore in this fabulous design; an aspect of learning that is so critical for Primary School aged children.
