A Junior School History Timeline can help schools provide pupils with a well-rounded education. This particular example was an extra large design, so we had loads of space to work with!
Extra large Wall Art for schools
Churchfields Junior School’s hall is a communal space for pupils and teachers to get together and host performances, assemblies, music recitals, sports events and more. So it’s an area that sees a lot of footfall. Because of its size, it provided a lovely large blank canvas that was ideal for school Wall Art.
The school approached us to design an extra large Junior School History timeline Wall Art feature for the back wall of the school hall. The design needed to be really bold and vibrant to catch the attention of everyone who visits the space. But it also needed to blend in with the existing architecture and design of the hall. We selected key events in History to be featured in the design; from the Stone Age right through to the present day. Then we designed striking images, fun fonts and useful graphics. These linked the events together on the school’s walls.
The timeline is particularly useful for helping students grasp the chronology of Historical events. And because the timeline is so visual, it has become a focal point of the hall. In fact, it’s totally awe inspiring to see it in real life!

We worked closely with the school to understand what they were looking to achieve with their Junior School History timeline. It was important to get the dimensions of the space exactly right. There was no room for error on a print of this scale. It was equally key that we worked alongside the team at the school to fact check all information. We checked this multiple times to make sure it was accurate; something we do on every school Wall Art project we undertake!
The end result is an extra large History timeline to be proud of! A work of art, a useful learning aid and a stunning makeover for a previously uninspiring school hall wall – this is a job well done. We’re thrilled that our school Wall Art design is featured prominently on the school’s website too!
