Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi Canteen
We brought nature to the canteen walls of Nord Anglia International School in Abu Dhabi.
Nord Anglia International School in Abu Dhabi offers state of the art facilities across their ultra modern campus. The buildings were conceived and constructed by world-leaders in international school design. And there’s a sense of nature indoors as you walk through the interior spaces.
Plants and a natural colour palette combine to create a nature inspired look and feel. The school were keen to maintain this ode to nature in our designs for their canteen. They also wanted imagery that connected food to plant sources. So pupils could be mindful about the supply chain, and the importance of nature in creating crops that travel from farm to plate.
Branded design
We used a colour palette that aligned to the school’s colours for a professional look. A combination of patterns, iconography and graphic shapes reflected plants, food and healthy living. It’s the perfect imagery for the school canteen – a place where healthy habits and lifestyles are formed.
The bold message here is “Eat well, feel good”. This is a reminder to pupils to look after their health and make good lifestyle choices. The fun and lighthearted design will appeal to pupils of all ages, from the youngest learners to Year 13 students.
A calm space for all
The colour palette, calm imagery and uplifting messages create a welcoming space for all. This is an area where pupils can relax and reset, away from the hustle and bustle of their ordinary school day.
We spread out the images and messages around the space. So it feels purposeful and balanced. There’s the perfect level of stimulation and interest for pupils. They can use the canteen to regulate and share time with peers in between lessons.
Bespoke design
We’re a bespoke design agency. So our design team creates all artwork tailored to each school’s requirements, preferences and goals.
In this case, the school had a clear vision of how they wanted the canteen to feel. They provided a brief of must-haves and preferences. So we could bring the vision to life through our bespoke design process.
We also printed and installed the Wall Art. The end result is a calm, colourful and uplifting space that will continue looking its best for many years to come.
