Motivational quotes for schools

motivational quotes

Reading motivational quotes can help us remain positive as Covid-19 continues to disrupt our daily lives. For parents balancing work with childcare, teachers who adjusting to new conditions in the classroom and those facing job uncertainty, loneliness or mental health issues, it can be particularly tough to stay upbeat.

Reading motivational quotes can have a profoundly positive effect on your mood. Combine this with regular self-care, exercise, a healthy diet and positive thoughts and you’ll turn every day into a good day!

Here is a collection of motivational quotes from our portfolio. At Promote Your School, we create bespoke Wall Art for schools, colleges and universities across the UK and internationally.

Motivational quote on strength – Bishop Challoner School

motivational quotes

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will” – Mahatma Gandhi.

A global pandemic can affect our mental and physical health – and that’s without even catching the virus! This motivational quote from the great Mahatma Gandhi appears in a ‘Subject Corridor‘ for Bishop Challoner School. It reminds us that strength is an exercise of the mind, not just the body.

By staying positive and refusing to give up, despite the challenges that come our way, our inner strength will endure.

Motivational quote on great things – Chertsey High School

Motivational quotes

“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together” – Vincent Van Gogh

This motivational quote features in a ‘Subject Zone‘ we designed for Chertsey High School. We love this quote because it serves as a reminder that every action we take each day, regardless of how small, can make a difference.

A small action can be as simple as practising good personal hygiene, like handwashing, to reduce your risk of contracting Coronavirus. It could be following government guidelines about social distancing or helping elderly neighbours with grocery deliveries. We can all do small things that, collectively, will have a big impact.

Motivational quote on education – Burton End Primary Academy

motivational quotes

“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela

As educators, students, parents and professionals, we’re experiencing huge change and uncertainty at the moment. However, the importance of education remains consistent.

Reading is a fantastic activity for children and adults to engage the mind, escape boredom and broaden horizons.  According to Nell Frizzell of the Guardian, “you literally cannot do too much reading.” Education need not mean complex subject matter and heavily policed learning schedules – simply grab a book and you’re ready to go!

Motivational quote on potential – Nower Hill High School

Middlesex High School subject themed library Wall Art motivational quote

“We know what we are, but we know not what we may be” – William Shakespeare

This beautiful motivational quote is included on the walls of Nower Hill High School’s library.

We don’t know what the future holds or how long schools will stay closed. But, we can try to shape each day to be positive, creative, exciting and rewarding. As William Shakespeare reminds us in this quote – our potential is infinite!
